Mike Grafa makes wonderful wheel thrown pottery in his studio in Austin, Texas. He uses a porcelain clay body and cone 10 glazes. All of Mike’s handcrafted wares are dishwasher safe, microwave safe and food safe. This handcrafted casserole baking dish with a lid is 8″ wide and 3″ tall. The only trick to baking in a handcrafted ceramic dish is to put the casserole dish in a cold oven (not preheated) and let the dish rise in temperature with the oven. If placed in a hot oven, the dish will crack.
