In the first three centuries of persecution, Christians used to identify each other by casually drawing the Ichthus, the fish in the dirt or sand. If the other person responded, it was good. If they did not, it was just an idle doodle.

ἸΧΘΥΣ (IKhThUS) is an acronym or acrostic for “Ἰησοῦς Χρῑστός Θεοῦ Υἱός Σωτήρ”, Iēsoûs Khrīstós, Theoû Huiós, Sōtḗr; contemporary Koine, which translates into English as ‘Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior’.

Iota (i), Iēsoûs (Ἰησοῦς), “Jesus”

Chi (ch), Khrīstós (Χρῑστός), “anointed”

Theta (th), Theoû (Θεοῦ), “of God”, the genitive singular of Θεóς, Theós, “God”

Upsilon (y or u), (h)uiós[10] (Yἱός), “Son”

Sigma (s), sōtḗr (Σωτήρ), “Savior”

The crown symbolizes Jesus Christ being the true King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The pendant is a nice weight and size for everyday wear and layered wear.

The pendants are small batch hand cast (utilizing the lost wax method) and hand-finished. Due to our non-industrial manufacturing process, your piece may contain slight and unique variations from the image shown.

A complimentary sterling silver plated cable chain (22 inches), with lobster clasp closure, is included in  antiqued silver and attached to the pendant with a pinched sterling silver jump ring.
