Description
Vintage Saint Michael Medallion Necklace reads “Arciconfraternita di s Michele Arcangelo GIVS Pirrone 1968” on the front side. “Ven. Apostolica Arciconfraternita di s Spirito in Sassia” with the Lorraine Cross, a bird and crown on the backside. The medallion pendant measures 1 3/4″ across. “M” & “S” (standing for Saint Michael) with detailed flowers make up this impressive necklace. The chain measures 34″ long.
The depiction of this saint is usually with angel wings with a sword raised in one hand and a shield in the other hand. He is depicted standing on the back of a beast, believed to be a representation of Satan.
